• M. Damon Kindopp, PT, Cert. DN has been with Physical Therapy Services since May of 1996. He was Clinical Director from May of 1999 until January of 2016. Damon became a partner with Sandra Ladd, PT in January 2000 at which time he also became the Vice-President. In January 2014, Damon assumed the role of President and in January 2016, he became partners with Shaun Barnes, MPT after Sandy Ladd, PT retired. • He is an alumnus of the University of Saskatchewan where he graduated in 1990 with a B.Sc. in Anatomy with Distinction and in 1993 with a B.Sc. in Physical Therapy with Great Distinction. He practiced for two years in Edmonton, Alberta before moving to Keene, NH where he worked for one year at The Cheshire Medical Center. • He has extensive postgraduate training in manual therapy through the Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Evidence in Motion and the Spinal Manipulation Institute. His special interests are orthopedic and sports physical therapy as well as chronic pain patients. • Damon earned his Certification in Dry Needling in 2014 through The Spinal Manipulation Institute. • He is an avid runner & hockey player/coach. Damon also enjoys water skiing and working outdoors! • Damon was a member of the Brattleboro Sunrise Rotary Club from 2000 through 2021 & served as President of the Club in 2016-17.
• Shaun Barnes, MPT, Cert. DN joined our staff in February of 2007. Shaun is originally from Chicopee, MA and is a 2006 graduate of American International College in Springfield, MA. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Masters in Physical Therapy (MPT). He became Vice President & Clinical Director in January 2016 and also serves as our Privacy and Security Officer for our practice so if you have any concerns please share them with Shaun. • Through internships and volunteer work, he has experienced a wide variety of professional settings. Shaun did his final 8-week student affiliation here in our facility in the fall of 2006 with Damon Kindopp, PT and was an outstanding student then and has proven to be a superb colleague today. • He enjoys staying active through sports such as snow boarding, baseball (big Red Sox Fan!!) and basketball but he is always willing to give any sport a try! • He joined the Brattleboro Kiwanis Club in 2016. • Shaun earned his Certification in Dry Needling in 2016 through The Spinal Manipulation Institute. • Shaun is an integral part of our team and develops personalized, effective treatment plans for his clients.
Lia joined our practice as Office Manager in late December 2022. Lia is a retired Research Ecologist and Earth/Environmental Sciences teacher who came to us after moving to Guilford VT to be with her children and granddaughter.
Lia works with patient scheduling, billing and payments, and insurance claims and payments, physician referrals, and general office management.
Lia works with our patients if they have any difficulties with billing or insurance and works to help them understand their statements and get their claims paid.
She works diligently to ensure that the collections process is a last resort and is available to help clients get their claims paid and their statements explained!
When she is not here helping at PTSB, Lia spends her time kayaking, hiking, playing traditional music, and going on adventures with her granddaughter. She also volunteers whenever possible as a science tutor and mentor, and with community resources promoting resource equity and sustainability.
